    Classroom Magic

I used to hate school.  I really did.  But that was before I went through a bazaar experience.  It all started when one day my mom finally agreed that I was old enough to go to the mall with my friends.  When we were walking into a comic store, an old lady was in front of us, trying to get through us to go to the grocery store, and my friends just charged through her, knocking her down.

I felt sorry for her, so I was outside of the store, helping her up.  Then she said, "You are a very compassionate young woman.  You will be rewarded one wish.  With that, she vanished into thin air.  I ran to catch up with my friends.  And on my way, I was thinking that the woman was totally crazy.  Yeah, like I really believe in this hocus pocus.

After a few hours, it was time to go home.  All I bought was a big bag of candy and a weird pair of tie-dyed socks.  When I came home, my homework was piled so high, it looked like the pyramid of Egypt.

"I hate school.  I wish that the students and teachers switched places so we can get those teachers back."

I went to work on my homework.  It was 12:30 pm when I finally went to sleep.

The next day I woke up and went to school.  When I was in front of the classroom, I noticed that there was the pizza delivery man running back and forth.  I figured that it was probably the 7th or 8th graders having a party.  But the pizza delivery man was heading toward our class.  Our teacher never lets us do anything fun.

When I entered the classroom, I almost fainted.  There were disco lights in our room, and our classroom was a toy land.  There was loud music, a whole bunch of blockbuster movies, junk food all over the place, and instead of those boring educational posters, there were cool MTV posters.  What was so unbelievable was that the teachers were sitting in our seats and we were supposed to sit in their seats.  I went to my friend's Maritess and Kathleen to see what on earth was going on.  Then I thought about the old woman and my wish last night.  My mouth dropped to the floor.  We were now the teachers!

We did not know what to teach them, so we just taught them how to blow a giant- sized bubble from bubble gum.  We also taught them how to battle Pokemon cards.  It went on like this for days and days.  It was super cool, but for some weird reason I desperately wanted to become a student again.  My parents told me how important it was to have an education.  And now that I suddenly became a teacher who has not even finished school yet, how could I get an education?  Also, I wanted to become a docker when I grow up.  Not a teacher!  And now what can I do?!?

Everyday was a drag because I did not know what to teach them.  I longed to come to school again as a student.  I decided I was going to find the old lady.  I told my classmates that I was going to go for a break and hurried to the mall.  I looked frantically for the old woman, but found no one.  The old woman suddenly appeared and said,

         "You need something?

I shouted out, "Oh please, oh please, turn me back into a student!"

         She said, "As you wish."

Then the old woman disappeared.  I was twirling into a daze.

"Wake up!"  Someone was shaking me.

         "Time to go to school!"

Had it all been a dream?  I quickly dressed up and when I went to school, I was glad to see that everything was normal.  For the first time, I actually liked school.
