Audience: Editors,
Staff Writers and Mentor/Advisors: Holly Kuestner, Editor-in-Chief, is a high school sophmore who loves writing and drawing. She also enjoys sports and plays soccer and lacrosse, swims, and orienteer. She is a huge fan of the Harry Potter series! Yoonhee Ha, Staff Writer, is an undergraduate student at The Ohio State University. Ideally, she would like to graduate with dual degrees in quantum physics and interpretive dance, but she will settle for any form of schooling that will train her to save the world. Yoonhee loves to see people smile and laugh and has been with the eZine since its inception in 2000. David Vogel, Humor Columnist, has been writing columns (called "Don't Ask Why") for his local newspapers for about three years. He attends Hillsboro High School in Kansas. He recently published his first book, called "David Vogel Asks 'Why?'" It is available to order at his website. One more little fact about him is: he still collects Ty Beanie Babies. Don't ask why. Sabrina Oukil, Historical Fiction Columnist, absolutely loves writing historical fiction because one can combine real people and real stories with a dose of history and a dose of creativity. She thinks it is important to understand historical events/ideas/causes/movements because they have a great affect on our lives today, and learning them through the stories of real people make them a lot more entertaining. Jennifer Zhu, webpage editor, adores speaking in French and politics; two hobbies she picked up from her time at Palisades Charter High School. She believes webpages are the best means of communication and expression, and tries to find more time for it. She plans to attend either Tufts University or University of California San Diego this coming year, with a major in international relations and political science. Amazing
Kids! Adult Advisors: Alyse is responsible for running the Amazing Kids! organization, as well as overseeing the amazingly talented youth-led staff of the Amazing Kids! eZine. In early 2001, Alyse launched the Amazing Kids! eZine in order to give kids and teens a challenging and exciting "real world" experience of producing an electronic magazine ("eZine") on their own. "The Amazing Kids! eZine gives kids and teens a unique opportunity to express themselves creatively to a wide-ranging cyber audience. By reading the creative works of their peers from around the world, kids (as well as adults) soon come to realize just how much we share in common as human beings, no matter where we live."
Rounding
out the staff are talented contributing members who write articles,
stories, and reviews, and contribute ideas for the growth of the
eZine. The Amazing Kids! eZine welcomes submissions from new
young writers from 5-18 on an ongoing basis. |
