How many people that
you know knew what they were going to be since kindergarten? I personally
think that people should explore many choices. I didn't have an idea
of what I wanted to be until a year ago when I was in fifth grade.
People years ago didn't
have much choice in what they were going to be. If your entire family
had been farmers, you were expected to be one also. These days, you
have as many choices of what occupation you may have as flavors of Ben
and Jerry's Ice Cream (which is a lot). You could have a job from
a marine biologist, to a nuclear physicist. Having this many choices
is a big responsibility.
Taking responsibility
for having a good job all starts at school. If you don't want to
have a good job (or any job for that matter), why worry about school?
If you want to be a doctor, you'd have to be good in Biology, and if you
want to be a master chef, then Home Ec. is your thing. I want to
be an architect, so I need to know how to do geometry well.
I plan to make more
affordable housing without sacrificing quality. I am also planning
to make breakthroughs in architecture by building stronger buildings to
let people settle in the Antarctic or in hurricane potent areas.
That would let the population be less dense so people wouldn't live in
super crowded areas like Tokyo, Mexico City, Sao Paulo, and New York City.
Jobs are and always
will be important. Good jobs are hard to come by these days.
You get those good jobs by working hard. I will work hard to achieve
my goals and complete my amazing future.
