1. Name two amazing things about Nellie Bly.
Nellie Bly became a newspaper reporter and traveled around the world.
2. Why do you think they were amazing?
Those things were amazing because in Nellie's day women weren't supposed
to write for newspapers or travel alone. Nellie didn't care what
other people said, and she wasn't afraid to stand up for what she believed
in.
3. Think about one amazing thing you would
like to do in your life. Describe what it is, and why you want to
do it.
I want to write and illustrate a book and give everyone I know a
free copy. I love to write and draw, and making a book sounds like
fun.

"Nellie Bly went travelling
across the great big sea..."

who read her father's books!"
|
"'Girls don't write for papers!'
she would hear her neighbors say."
