Amazing Kids! is dedicated to supporting the promotion of positive role models for children in the media, including the Internet.  Many parents and educators have a real concern about the availability on the Web of inappropriate material for children, but are not aware of how they can protect their children.  Many parents and educators need help in guiding their children's use of the Internet, but don't know where to start.  That's where we come in!

Amazing Kids! has developed an educational seminar on the use of Internet and the World Wide Web, geared for parents and educators.  It will teach parents and educators about:

  • the range of positive, educational and fun websites available for children - Speakers include: some amazing web savvy students, the manager of the Orange County Register’s website “Just for Kids” and the publisher of www.headbone.com – “the world’s 5th most popular website for kids!”
  • Internet safety, including how to use filtering software to protect children by blocking out unwanted websites
  • basic "how-to" use the Internet and World Wide Web, for beginners - Provided by EarthLink, the nation's largest independent Internet Service Provider
  • An example of how Orange County schools (in Southern California) are using the Internet in their educational programs.
  • information from educational software vendors, on the top software programs for children
  • and more...
The first Amazing Kids on the Internet Seminar was held on June 27, 1998, from 9 am to noon, on the campus of California State University, Fullerton.
