1. Name two amazing things about Nellie Bly.
-
One amazing thing that Nellie Bly did was that she traveled across the
sea.
-
She also beat the record time for going around the world.
2. Why do you think they were amazing?
All of these things are amazing because in the 1800's women weren't
expected to do much but take care of the children and cook. Plus,
many people discouraged her, but she didn't let them get in the way.
She's a goal setter, and a non-giver-upper. She doesn't just have
a goal; she plans for the goal. That's why these things are so amazing
to me.
3. Think about one amazing thing you would
like to do in your life. Describe what it is, and why you want to
do it.
One amazing things that I'd like to do in my life is to come up with
some other way of giving people vaccinations than by shots. I personally
hate going to the doctor and getting shots and I'm sure others aren't too
thrilled about it either. Doctors won't have to deal with crying
children, the children won't be scared, and people might go and get the
flu shot around wintertime. Needles might be in the way of people
getting vaccinations.
