It was a Saturday morning in late May. You could here kids playing in the park across the street. Jason Johnson woke up to the smell of smoke, so he quickly put on a red short sleeve shirt, kahki pants, and a pair of shoes. Jason walked downstairs and into the kitchen. when he reached the kitchen he saw a small fire on the stove and his dad laying on his back with a burnt face. He ran to his dad and dragged him to the living room as carefully as he could. Jason then ran into the garage to grab the extinglisher. He ran into the kithen and put it out. He picked up the phone and dialed 911. He then told the operator the soulution and where he was. He ran back to his dad and kneeled beside him. His dad, John woudn't move or speack, but Jason knew he was breathing. The paramedics knocked on the door. Jason opened the door for them. Jason went back to the phone to call his friend Ethan. ethan answered. "Ethan, can you meet me at the hospital?" Jason asked. "Sure," he replied. "If you will call Kayla and tell her the same thing." "Okay, bye," Ethan said. Jason grabbed his car keys to his burgandy Mustang GT. He drove to the hospital. The paramedics already had his dad there. He pulled in and parked in the visitors area. He went in and had the woman at the desk find out where the room his dad was in was at. He went to the room she said he was in. He let the doctors know who he was and went to the nearest waiting room to find Ethan and Kayla sitting on a sofa. He sat down in between them and told them what happened. When he finished his story a doctor came around the corner. He sat in a chair. He looked at Jason and said, "Jason , I'm sorry to tell you, but your father is in a coma. We cannot tell you how long he'll be in this condition. He also has 5degree burns on his face. Do you have any questions?" the doctor asked. "No, thanks," Jason replied. "It's my job and if youy need anything contact Dr.Jay Smith," the doctor said and walked away. "Ethan is there a chance I could stay with you tonight?" Jason asked.
