My Trip to the Rain Forest
Dumb fire ants always make me itch and scratch.
Stupid rain forest so hot and loud. Who would want to save the rain forest
anyway? I'm so hot! I don't know how many more days I can take it.
Oh! Hi, reader. You probably have no idea what's
going on so I'll start from the beginning. Me, Zack Brown, and my fellow
photographers, Brian, Lauren and Travis were going to the Amazon rain forest
for some shots of the plants and animals. But, our plane didn't have enough
fuel so we had to jump out of the plane and we became stranded in the canopy.
With my luck I was separated from the rest
of the group and had to climb to the forest floor myself. While climbing,
I noticed many colorful birds and butterflies along with many insects.
I've been lost in this green maze for two days now, surviving only on fruit
and insects which don't have the best taste but are very healthy for you.
Maybe that day when we were taught how to survive in the rain forest wasn't
so dumb and pointless.
I started walking on a path picking berries
saying a rhyme I learned, "green and sweet are good to eat but red will
make you vomit." Or was it red and sweet are good to... I don't feel so
good anymore. My vision was getting blurry and I had trouble walking. I
felt so hot. I was stumbling down the path holding onto trees. I thought
I could see a village in the distance so I ran as fast as possible when
my luck came into play again and I tripped on a log and my face hit the
ground. When I opened my eyes I saw a leech on my arm sucking my blood.
I lifted my shirt up and let out a scream that shook the forest. I threw
off my shirt and jumped in a river. All of a sudden a pack of piranhas
came darting toward me. I leapt out of the water, grabbed my shirt and
sprinted into the forest not knowing where I was going.
The water cooled me off so I wasn't stumbling from tree to tree. I saw
the village I had seen before. So, I started walking down the path to the
village. When I arrived at the village my friends Brian, Lauren and Travis
greeted me. They took me to the Shaman who said I was fine but I should
rest.
The next day we went out to take pictures of plants when we were captured
by apes and put in a cave and pelted with bananas. We had to dance for
all eternity. But that's another story.
